Also known as black cumin (Nigella sativa), it has properties of both carrier oils and essential oils. An amazing healing oil used extensively in Egypt and Middle Eastern medicine, black seed is anti-tumoral, anti-parasitic, and balances male and female hormones in a way that no other oil can duplicate. To read more about the properties of black seed oil, please see Black Seed Information.
This oil is best used daily. I prefer to dilute it in a 1 to 8 dilution with olive oil (1 part black seed oil to 8 parts olive oil). You can change it based on taste-it is too strong for most people without dilution.
Add it to rice dishes, roast or baked potatoes, steamed vegetables, meats for those who use meat, anything. Combines well with the flavors of middle eastern cuisine-cumin and peppers, Indian cuisine-curries, garam masala, cinnamon, turmeric, etc., and Chinese cuisine. For best results, use this oil every day or several times a week. Add it after cooking so oil is not exposed to heat.
