Liver Regenration

Food for Liver Regeneration
Nutritional and dietary factors are always involved when our liver shows symptoms of degeneration, imbalance or dis-ease. These simple nutritional changes are some of the most important ones you can make to support regeneration of your liver, as well as all your organs, tissues, and body systems.

There are three major points of change that are the essential dietary aspects for regenerating liver conditions. They are:
1-ELIMINATION. Eliminating the foods listed below is imperative if you have a degenerative liver condition. You can not continue the habits that have created this condition and expect to heal it. It is also important to make these changes a little at a time, in a way that is sustainable. If you try to change everything at once, you will be less likely to maintain the dietary changes. The best way is to eliminate one or two denatured foods or addictive substances at a time. Let your body adjust to the new eating habits for awhile, then initiate another change.
2-JUICES. Drinking one to several cups of fresh vegetable juice daily is the best remedy available for liver degeneration. You can do this even if you do not own a juicer-even a blender will do.
3-Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's). Change the type of fats you consume to change your life.

EFA’s: SUPER-NOURISHING FOODS
Your body’s cells are surrounded by a lipid layer (fatty acids). To keep every cell in your body flexible and healthy, you need an abundance of essential fatty acids (the “good” fats) in your diet.

Without these fats in abundant supply, and with a steady supply of low-quality fats in our diets, the body is forced to use inferior quality fats in maintaining cells. This results in weak, aging cells, plaque accumulation in arteries, and strain on the liver and gall bladder as they try to digest and neutralize these unhealthy fats.

When toxic fats and by-products reach a critical level of accumulation, diverse symptoms may appear as the body is trying to expel toxic accumulation from its cells. A body in this weakened state becomes an easy target for invading viruses, parasites, and organisms.

Essential fatty acids are available ONLY in cold-pressed oils (these are different than expeller pressed oils which have been heated to high temperatures). Eat a variety of these oils for the strongest support.
     -Cold-pressed olive oil
     -Cold-pressed flax seed oil
     -Cold-pressed macadamia nut oil
     -Cold-pressed sesame oil
     -Cold-pressed green tea seed oil
     -Many other cold-pressed oils

Remember-heat destroys the EFA’s. Always add these oils after cooking, as a condiment or flavoring to your rice, grains, vegetables, and salads. Some oils, like olive, macadamia nut, and coconut can be heated and still retain SOME food value.

If you cook your oils, always add a little more after cooking to make sure those EFA’s are available. Always avoid any oils or fats that are hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated. Read your labels.

In order to get sufficient quantities of the high EFA oils, you will need to add around 2 T. to 1/4 cup to your diet daily. Try several different kinds from the list above, and add them after cooking to grains and vegetable dishes. You will find that they are flavorful and easy to eat, and your body will begin to feel better!

The list of fats to avoid includes:
Lard, animal fats, butter, cream, margarine (even “health food” types), refined oils, salad oils; and products containing these oils, such as salad dressings, chips, deep fried foods, pastries and baked goods, any items containing hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or oils that are not cold-pressed.

JUICES
Juices are nature’s divine high frequency medicine for regenerating the human body. For liver regeneration, drink 1/2 cup of fresh vegetable (or fruit) juices three times every day. Some of the best choices include carrot, celery, beet, ginger root, spinach, chard, parsley, apple, grapefruit, and papaya.

If you have a juicer, make a quart of juice once a day and store it in the refrigerator to drink small amounts throughout the day. Be sure to dilute with fresh springwater or purified water, since straight vegetable juices are too strong for most people.

If you have a blender, you can use it to make a juice. Cut your vegetables into small chunks and put them into the blender with water. Blend on high until the mixture looks even and has no chunks. Then strain the pulp and drink this juice straight-it has already been diluted.

LIVER JUICE RECIPE 1
1/2 apple
4 slices fresh ginger root
2 stalks celery
1/4 beet
4 carrots
Juice veggies. Add up to 2 cups water and drink throughout the day.
If using a blender, add 2 cups water to diced vegetables and blend. Strain and drink throughout the day.

LIVER JUICE RECIPE 2
6 carrots
2 cabbage leaves
1/2 cup spinach
2 slices fresh papaya
Prepare as above.

LIVER/GALL BLADDER SMOOTHIE
2 cups nutmilk, soymilk, or rice milk
1 frozen banana
4 dates
1 t. vanilla extract
1/4 t. spirulina or chlorella
1/8 t. (or one capsule) bee pollen or royal jelly
2 capsules Mi. Capra goat colostrum
Goat colostrum and royal jelly help to regenerate a damaged liver and compromised immune system. Taken several times weekly for 3 months (in conjunction with dietary changes), this combination will assist in “repatterning” the liver, making it easier to change addictive programming and let go of substance and food addictions. Cravings will begin to disappear as the correct liver energy flow is restored.

BALANCING YOUR DIET FOR OPTIMUM NUTRITION
The following guidelines will help you return to a natural way of eating that can restore health and regenerate your body. Every food you put into your body becomes the raw materials for cells and blood. You become what you eat. This makes it so important to put vibrant, whole foods filled with life force into our bodies!

Eat lots of these foods:
Fresh vegetables, including greens; spinach, lettuce, chard, escarole, endive, cilantro, parsley, astragalus, kale, cabbage; root vegetables; potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, yams, squashes, beets, turnips, parsnips, yucca, jicama; and vegetables such as eggplant, asparagus, peppers, onions, corn, peas, green beans, broccoli, zucchini, brussel sprouts, alfalfa and bean sprouts, beans, etc. AVOID canned vegetables! They have very little life force compared to frozen and fresh ones.

Whole grains like bulgur, quinoa, millet, rice (if you like only white rice, try blending it with a little brown, Thai red, wild, or black rice), oats, rye, barley, buckwheat, spelt, kamut, amaranth, etc. AVOID refined white flour and pure white rice. Limit wheat products, pastas, commercial breads (even whole grain), refined baked goods such as cookies, pastries, and granola bars.

Lots of raw seeds-put them on top of salads, vegetables, in burritos, casseroles, meatloaf, anything after it has been cooked, so you keep the whole nutrients available. Sesame, hemp, plantain, flax, fennel, cumin, anise, poppy, sunflower, etc. Nuts are great too-but soak them over night before eating. They will be much easier on your sustem to digest-and taste better too. AVOID nuts and seeds that have been roasted, heated, or salted.

Fresh fruits, including melons, apples, pears, peaches, grapes, plums, all kinds of berries, star fruit, lemons, oranges, grapefruits, pineapple, limes, pomegranates, bananas, nectarines, etc. Dried fruits are great-only if you soak them over night before eating! Soak all your raisins, dried apricots, dried cherries, etc. for better digestion and hydration.
AVOID canned fruits!

Protein foods such as tofu, tempeh, fish, poultry, sesame butter, shiitake mushrooms, eggs.

Soup! Nature’s best regenerator is soup that contains fresh vegetables. AVOID canned soup-it is devoid of the life force you will find in home cooked soups. (There are some ready-made soups available in cartons that are fairly vibrant).

Eat moderate amounts of these foods:
High protein foods, chicken, poultry, lamb, beef, shell fish, pork. Some of these foods are necessary for most people moving from a modern diet to a natural way of eating.

When you eat these foods, eliminate the refined carbohydrates that they are often served with: Eat the hamburger without the bun, eat the roast beef without the roll and potato. Your body will handle the digestion process much better if you do not combine other foods with meat.

Better digestion means less toxic by-product and no fermentation in the intestinal tract. Then your skin, lungs, liver, kidneys, and colon do not have to work so hard to neutralize and eliminate these toxins.

Limit or eliminate entirely these foods:
-Carbonated soft drinks-especially DIET! Replace with juices, teas, nutmilk.
-All diet sweeteners-replace with maple sugar or maple syrup, stevia extract, honey, or xylitol.
-Milk-replace with nutmilk. If you have access to real goat’s milk or cow’s milk that is unhomogenized, you can consume it in moderate quantities. It is the pasteurization and especially the homogenization process that creates a challenge with milk.
-Coffee. This completely upsets the acid balance and burns out the adrenals and nervous system, especially if you use it every day. It is very hard on the liver as well, which must neutralize the toxic by-products of caffeine in our system.
-White sugar and refined flour products.
-Alcohol. Alcohol is taxing for kidneys, liver, and spleen energies. Those with severe and chronic liver degeneration will not feel healthy and vibrant until they eliminate it entirely.
-Non-essential fats. Lard, animal fats, butter, cream, margarine, refined oils, salad oils; and products containing these oils, such as salad dressings, chips, deep fried foods, pastries and baked goods, any items containing hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or oils that are not cold-pressed.

FOOD AND THE ASCENSION PROCESS

It is important to realize that somewhere through the personal process of regeneration, one reaches a state of balance and clarity from which the vibrational and energetic qualities of all foods become obvious. At this point one is no longer drawn toward foods that are unhealthy for the body. They simply don’t taste or feel good. At this point, body, mind, and spirit are in such alignment that one automatically desires the food that will best sustain and enhance the whole being.

There are many possible stages along the way to reaching this point of consciousness. Most people in our culture today are consuming denatured foods with lower life force and some degree of chaotic vibration. One can be eating all the “right foods”, yet if we are unable to discern the vibrational quality of the foods, we may still not be getting the regenerative effects that we desire. For this reason, I encourage people to develop muscle testing (kinesiology), dowsing, or other intuitive and sensory oriented ways of discerning the life force and vibration of foods. The testing will often give surprising and unexpected results.

It is important to follow your heart on which changes to incorporate and when. One must satisfy the need of the body from a nutritional standpoint. Eliminating many favorite foods without allowing sufficient time for adjustment creates an emotional void that can sabotage our efforts toward change. I suggest that changes be incorporated a little at a time. Gradually start replacing denatured foods with organic whole foods. Eliminate one or two at a time and let your body adjust to the new program before attempting the next change.
